Abramoff to plead guilty

How exactly does this 'bode' for the DeLay case? By helping the prosecution with the investigation will there be even more sinister actions uncovered? I surely hope Hollywood is paying attention to this because if it weren't all true it would make an interesting movie.

Until the way we elect our government officals changes, there will be more and more episodes like Mr. Abramoff.

Just like Rome of 2000 years ago, our Country is run on the gleam of gold and power.

This is serious shit, guys! Especially for Delay since he received the most amount of money out of all of them from this guy. Not to mention that Bush's reelection campaign received over $100K from the guy (indirectly, of course). Now Abramoff's on the prosecutor's side, naming names, diming them all out. And he still faces $20M+ in fines and about 12 years in jail. And he was doing this shit for over a decade. There's no telling who'll turn up in the wash. The hole keeps getting deeper and deeper for the Republicans. Watch...he may wind up dead before he actually testifies.

I think he's said all he's going to say - which nets Ney & two staffers. All the rest will skate.

NPR announced today he's given 12 names to the prosecutors so far (Ney is one). Prosecution will surely squeeze him for more or up his jail time for violating the "full cooperation" clause of the plea bargain.
