Rep. Ray Allen (R-Grand Prarie) will not be seeking another term. When I called his cell phone he said he's released a statement but it's not his policy to talk to blogs. Oh well, there you go. Anyone know who's going to work to fill that seat? Feel free to add your memories of Rep. Allen in the comments. We've given you a few gems from the Session, but y'all know more than we do. ;)

He and the former Mrs. Allen divorced after session. Cleared the way for the mistress/staffer that broke up the 20+ year marriage.
Bring on Katy Hubener. She ran a strong race against him last year and deserves much of the credit for chasing him out this time.
Now who's gonna teach Capitol staffers how to hold a hangun? One can no longer get a concealed handgun license in the Capitol. It's a cryin shame, I tell ya.
