The CIA has reported another leak. This time about 'alleged' secret prisons in Eastern Europe. Here's my favorite part: Senator Frist had to actually pause before agreeing to an investigation because Senator Trent Lott claims it was a Republican Senator or Staffer. Now good ol' Trent Lott. He's been thrown under the bus and he stood up and pointed to the room where the Republican Senators had a meeting with Vice President Dick Cheney and just called it out...someone in that room repeated what was said to the Washington Post.
Trent Lott, "y'all fucked me...now I'm fucking you." Who says Republicans don't get any action?
One more comment...Lott's real crime wasn't that he made a pro-Strom Thurmond comment that was easily made to look like he was a Klan member or sympathist...it was that he was willing to talk to Daschle without clearing it with Karl Rove. Paybacks are a bitch Karl.
The really funny thing is that they are going to investigate the leak and not the allegations of torture and abuse at these secret prisons.
One would think that was a crime, too.
I know Trent, he will outlast all of them.
