Abbott sues Sony

Our state attorney general has filed suit against Sony for the hidden spyware they included on several recent CDs. For instance, if you bought the most recent Ricky Martin or Celine Dion CDs, you got it (Please tell us you have neither of these CDs...).

BoingBoing has more info on Sony's tricky software.

Is this the SAME software that Sony has already removed? Didn't Sony also agree to issue new discs to anyone who wants them?

Way to jump on things early on, Attorney General Greg Abbott.

If you read the AG's page they say Sony was supposed to recall all the CDs, but on Sunday they were able to purchase the said CDs in more than a couple Austin stores.

Geesh, the AG is jumping the gun a little bit here. Give Sony a chance to comply with what they've already promised to do!

I've managed to save up roughly $51438 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?
