Who is Harriet Miers?

Since we have heard next to nothing about the woman Bush has tapped to fill the vacant SC position, we googled her name, hoping to find some juicy tidbits. Sad to say, there isn't much.

- Wonkette has a Harriet Miers section.

- TalkLeft thinks better of her than Alberto Gonzales.

- Bush quotes, "She can fillet better than Mrs. Paul" in this DMN profile from March.

We have gleaned that she prefers to keep a low profile. And, yeah, she's single.

Gee. Y'all are awfully quiet this morning.

HA! The wingnuts at RedState have their undies all in a bunch because of her contributions to Al Gore, Lloyd Bentsen and the DNC.

That, and it's frickin' 10:00 in the morning, and who the hell does anything before 10:00 in the morning. And you'd think that some paused, thoughtful criticisms by "wingnuts" would be appreciated -- not scoffed -- by our friends on the right.

I still say it's too early. I'm going to go root for Plinko on the Price is Right.

Sorry. I guess I assumed it wasn't paused and thoughtful but was the "if you can't say something bitter and sarcastic, then don't say anything at all" advice that some of you people apparently learned in your childhoods. I apologize and stand corrected.

What will Rick Perry say about this nomination of a lesbian to the nation's highest court? Will he even take time out from his gay-bashing campaign for the homophobic constitutional amendment next month to comment?

I can't be bothered with anything these days, but shrug. I just don't have anything to say recently. I haven't gotten much done recently. Nothing seems worth thinking about.

Sten78322 at January 13, 2007 7:18 AM

retty much nothing seems worth thinking about. My life's been completely dull , not that it matters. I've just been staying at home waiting for something to happen.

Sten33737 at January 15, 2007 10:32 PM

I've just been staying at home not getting anything done. I've basically been doing nothing worth mentioning. My life's been pretty unremarkable these days. Eh.

Sten61105 at January 30, 2007 2:26 AM

I just don't have anything to say right now. I haven't been up to anything recently, but it's not important. I've just been sitting around waiting for something to happen, but shrug.

Sten97316 at January 30, 2007 11:39 AM

I've just been hanging out not getting anything done. What can I say? I've basically been doing nothing worth mentioning, but pfft. Not that it matters. Pretty much nothing exciting happening to speak of. I haven't been up to much these days.
