Homosexuals Raise Goldfish

A tipster forwarded us this email that's been passed around in support of the proposed constitutional ban on gay marriage. I don't even know where to begin with this one. This guy is a complete moron. The full text is available after the jump, but here's a few excerpts. Go ahead & send this asshole an email & tear him a new one, let him know that heteros can raise goldfish too.

"Vote FOR Proposition 2 and defend Marriage and Biological Normality in Texas and the USA."

"It is extremely important to tell everyone that Marriage is about One man and One woman raising CHILDREN. This is something that homosexuals don't do. Homosexuals raise goldfish, cats and dogs, not the NEXT GENERATION OF
PEOPLE."

"Marriage is about ONE man and ONE woman raising CHILDREN 95% of the time. And the other 5% of the time
marriage is ONE man and ONE woman taking care of each other. Heterosexuality is implicit in marriage. It amazes me in the year 2005 we are even talking about the concept of so-called "gay" marriage, a fantasy that does not
exist, just like the moon is not made of green cheese."

"Marriage is about a man and a woman raising children, not 2 gay roommates in a sexually dysfunctional relationship raising a goldfish or a dog. Do you try to teach your children good values or your goldfish?
Heterosexual couples change their baby's diapers several times a day and read to them, but gays just tell their cat to go to the litter box and feed their cats food scraped off the floor of a slaughterhouse."

""Gay" marriage is a fantasy that does not exist no matter what left-wing activist judges say. Furthermore, so is gay adoption of kids. Probably less than 1 in 175 gay "couples" want to adopt any children. That is why they are "gay," because they do not want to raise children."

Dear Texas Friends,

Vote FOR Proposition 2 and defend Marriage and Biological Normality
in Texas and the USA. Tell, call and email every single person you know in
Texas and ask them to vote FOR Proposition 2. Proposition 2 is the Texas
Defense of Marriage Amendment. Proposition 2 is absolutely necessary in
Texas because judicial activists and homosexual lobbying groups nationwide
are using the court system to shove so-called "gay" marriage - whateve r
that is - down the throats of Americans.

1) The most important thing you can do is contact the church you attend
and ask them to tell your congregation to Vote FOR Proposition 2, both by
putting it in the church bulletin and by preaching on this from the pulpit.
Because Proposition 2 is not a Republican/ Democrat issue, it is totally
LEGAL for churches to campaign FOR Proposition 2. The churches MUST
understand how important Proposition 2 is and that it is legal for churches
to campaign for Prop. 2 because it is an issue, not a political race. After
you tell your church, please tell all the other churches in your
neighborhood to campaign FOR Propositio n 2.

2) Call and email ALL of your friends in Texas and tell them to Vote
FOR Proposition 2, the Texas Defense of Marriage Act, when early voting
begins October 24th. The whole state of Texas will be voting FOR Proposition
2 and we need to make sure they do.

3) If you live in Austin and want to volunteer by passing out flyers,
holding up Proposition 2 signs or campaigning at the voting locations on
Tuesday, November 8th. My email
address is Morrow321@aol.com.

4) The churches are the most important part of our campaign. It is
extremely important to tell everyone that Marriage is about One man and One
woman raising CHILDREN. This is something that homosexuals don't do.
Homosexuals raise goldfish, cats and dogs, not the NEXT GENERATION OF
PEOPLE.

Tell all of your friends to contact their own churches and get them to
campaign for Proposition 2 every Sunday until Election Day on November 8th.
Election Day campaigning both at the polls and by calling people is going to
be very important because 65% of the vote in constitutional amendment
elections occurs on Election Day, November 8th. We must get out the
vote (GOTV)on election day!

5) Go to these web sites to learn more how to campaign FOR Proposition
2:

http://www.texansformarriage.org/ This is the official Proposition 2
web site

http://www.txmarriage.com/ Another good web site.

and neighbors.

http://calltovictory.com/wiki/Main_Page - Austin, TX Legacy PAC
homepage. They will give you walk lists and phone numbers to call if you
call them. Also, contact Daniel McDonald at 512-835-8325.

Vote FOR Proposition 2 which says:

"The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state
consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this
state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing
any legal status identical or similar to marriage."

Here is how Defense of Marriage Amendments did on the ballot in
fall of 2004. In the Southern states DOMA - or Proposition 2 here in Texas -
passed about 14% higher than the percentage of vote that Bush got in a
state. Basically, 99% of Republicans should be FOR Proposition 2 and about
35% of Democrats. Bush got 61% of the vote here in Texas + 14% = 75%.
Anything less than 75% statewide in Texas for Proposition 2 would be a
propaganda loss to the homo activists. We need Proposition 2 to pass 80% +
to send a MESSAGE nationwide to judicial activists and the homosexual lobby.
2004 Results for Defense of Marriage Amendments:

The homosexual lobby groups know that they can never win this at
the ballot boxes so they are using liberal activist judges to "make up law"
and legalize so-called "gay" marriage with unconstitutional court rulings.
Their means to achieve this silly and harmful end are extremely
anti-democratic.

Proposition 2 is going to pass in Texas but it is critically
important that it pass by a huge margin, 80%+, so that we can send a huge
MESSAGE to judicial activists and homosexuals nationwide that Americans and
Texans will not tolerate this garbage. Marriage is about ONE man and ONE
woman raising CHILDREN 95% of the time. And the other 5% of the time
marriage is ONE man and ONE woman taking care of each other. Heterosexuality
is implicit in marriage. It amazes me in the year 2005 we are even talking
about the concept of so-called "gay" marriage, a fantasy that does not
exist, just like the moon is not made of green cheese.

Marriage is about a man and a woman raising children, not 2 gay
roommates in a sexually dysfunctional relationship raising a goldfish or a
dog. Do you try to teach your children good values or your goldfish? Have
you ever tried to teach a goldfish the difference between right and wrong?
Do you save money for your cat's college education or your cat's wedding?
Married couples save money for their CHILDREN'S college education and their
daughter's wedding. Heterosexual couples change their baby's diapers several
times a day and read to them, but gays just tell their cat to go to the
litter box and feed their cats food scraped off the floor of a
slaughterhouse. Gays, by definition, don't get up all night and breast feed
any babies. Married women do this all the time.

Men and women look forward to the special day that their children
will also have children, God willing. Grandchildren. This is nothing at all
like looking forward to the day your dog has puppies or your cat has
kittens. In fact, when many people's dogs have puppies or their cat have
kittens, they take often them down to the animal shelter were most of them
are euthanized or killed. Yet homo activists want to pretend that people in
wrong, weird and biologically impossible relationships are somehow the equal
of the married men and women who are raising America's next generation, our
children, with all their love, blood, sweat and tears.

Did you know that you can't even have a "gay pride" parade without
verifiable, documentable proof of heterosexuality activity 20, 30, 40 and 50
years earlier. The bottom line is that married men and women bring life to
America, no thanks to the homos who run around insisting that they be
"married" and receive special benefits they do not deserve so they can raise
a goldfish or a dog.

Married man and woman come together to raise children and this
should be honored and respected. The only thing "gay" couples raise are
goldfish, dogs and cats. Nobody's dog or cat ever grew up to be a
businessman, fireman, doctor, preacher, teacher, maid, garbage man, singer,
artist or even President of the United States. But our CHILDREN do and that
is what Marriage is about: men and women raising children the best they can.

Marriage is a partnership between a man and a woman that is used to
raise kids, raise the next generation and to take care of each other. "Gay"
marriage is a fantasy that does not exist no matter what left-wing activist
judges say. Furthermore, so is gay adoption of kids. Probably less than 1 in
175 gay "couples" want to adopt any children. That is why they are "gay,"
because they do not want to raise children. Therefore their sexually
dysfunctional relationship should not be given the same respect or status
that a normal heterosexual relationship is given. Especially when it comes
to Marriage. Call and email all of your Texas friends and tell them to vote
for Proposition 2, starting on October 24th early voting!

Heterosexuals make Miracle babies.

Homosexuals just make a mess.

Marriage is 1 Man and 1 Woman raising kids.

Vote for Proposition 2 and Defend Marriage!

This part of the rant deserves special consideration:

"Heterosexual couples change their baby's diapers several times a day and read to them, but gays just tell their cat to go to the litter box and feed their cats food scraped off the floor of a slaughterhouse."

Just .. wow.

Wow, he's (Rob Morrow)really gotten illiterate since his highly acclaimed role on Northern Exposure. This obviously the result of lead poisoning folks.

The Other Guy at October 14, 2005 1:14 PM

Oh, Other Guy, he's been on that "Numbers" show too. It's all so disappointing. . .

Let me see...I have two dogs...two bettas ....does that mean I'm gay? WOW!

buskyandme at October 14, 2005 1:43 PM

Yall know its gonna past right? Overwhelmingly I might add. The Lege had better things to do of course, but its best you come to grips with reality.

Wonk at October 14, 2005 1:50 PM

Way to care, Wonk. Way to care.

the wizard at October 14, 2005 2:07 PM

Erm.. you mean it is going to "pass".

You're a moron, but I agree.

Chuck at October 14, 2005 3:10 PM

You're a prick and I concur.

Wonk at October 14, 2005 3:51 PM

"mommy, mommy, Chuck just called me a moron. I'm going back over there to call him a prick!"

"OK, dear, but I need to change your diaper when I come back."

the wizard at October 14, 2005 4:19 PM

Wow. This is *especially* offensive given just how many unwanted children - of heterosexuals I might add - that same-sex couples raise in this country. And quite well. I work for CPS, and let me tell you, being hetero does not equate with having the capacity to parent. Most of the parents I encounter couldn't even keep a goldfish alive. Oh, and this guy is obsessed with gay people's pets. PS Rob, you small-dicked virginal fundie, I plan on having 3-4 kids (I'm homo!) and I'll be sure to teach them to never talk to the strange single straight men who seem to think Republican-appointees are "liberal activist judges" giving me "special rights" to raise my betta.

Bobby at October 14, 2005 11:38 PM

I'm gay and I have no fish. My partner and I did, however, raise two kids - both in college now.

I will have to admit though that the odds of this idiot measure passing is good. I would guess 65% yes, 35% no. If it does pass by this percentage, all is not lost. Look at it this way, we only have to change the minds and attitudes of 16% of the voters to change Texas - for the better I might add.

gayinmidland at October 15, 2005 10:33 AM

If I'm not gay, can I still have a goldfish?

I am a proud lesbian mom of two wonderful children, both boys. They are both in the top percentage of their class, have girlfriends, we're read to, and breast feed. We have never had to tell our cat to use it's litter box, or fed it scraps from a slaughterhouse. We have never taken our puppies to be put down. And crazy as it might seem, we don't want "special rights" to raise our goldfish. Even if our state doesn't let us legally marry we still consider ourselves a very loving family.
