Friday news roundup

PD is out of town and we're doing our best, y'all.

- Radar Online has heard that the investigation into Frist and his shady stock trade is being led by his own party, mainly because he has spoken in his own voice (instead of that of the GOP and Dubya) regarding stem cell research and Katrina: "the fact that the investigation was spearheaded by Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, Bush's legal crony, and SEC Chairman (and former Republican congressman) Chris Cox, has observers on both sides of the aisle wondering if it's an effort to kneecap the senator before he can announce his 2008 presidential bid." Very interesting.

- After reading the article in the WaPo re: Rove's voting registration (we sorta posted on it in September), a woman in Kerr County has asked her district attorney to investigate whether Rove's registration is legitimate or not. Rove has friends everywhere, so who knows if this will come to anything.

- The Catholic Church is going to let gay men become priests. As long as they have been celibate for three years and aren't too flaming. We exaggerate slightly. But still no female priests! Another reason Bluebonnet will never be Catholic.
