Nine Days

Is that what y'all heard? Hell, we're so bored with talking about property tax relief and sales tax increases and blah blah blah that we might come down there and vote for HB2 and HB3. I hope you bitches realize you are ruining our summer. And...by bitches I mean you Perry and Craddick. I'm totally exempting Dewhurst just to piss you off.

If you have heard other fantastic rumors about 79 Version 2.0 let us know.

Dear PinkDome,

Is this rumor that the second special will last nine days? I hope so, but my heart has been broken before.

i've even heard more optimistically that it could be over by saturday. but this is the "leadership" we're talking about. apparently, unbelievably, they still that simply because they want it to be so, it will.

they'll try to ram it through (i know), but if craddick's ace up the sleeve is that he could have passed it last special with three votes . . . well, that doesn't instill much confidence.

at this point, who cares. i say that all who are opposed to this offal just let it pass without their vote. that way when these pieces o' crap come back to bite perry in the ass during primary season, they can collectively sit back and say "i told you so, bitches."

Truth is Legislative Conferences coming up. Mama (or Papa) wants his state paid vacation. Golf at the best places...free happy hour every night, sight seeing, shopping, free dinners.. anything else and at almost no cost. You can screw a few school kids for that kind of deal.

Wouldn't this be 79 Version 2.0.2? I'm assuming the regular would be Version 1.0 and specials V 2.0 (or V 2.0.1 because we knew there would be more on the same topic) unless we do it by Gubinitorial term in which case this could be Perry Version 2.0 for the regular and Perry Version 2.1.2 meaning Second Regular, 1t issue, second session on that issue.

Man, this could get fun.

I think Dos Centavostoru has a great point!

These bitches and assholes are indeed (generally) only concerned with themselves and what, if anything, can they get out of "public service". One of the MAJOR perks of a Texas legislator are the free trips, etc. (certainly not the pay). So the idea that they will wrap this turd up and call it a barbeque sandwich certainly makes sense.

Kudos to Dos Centavostoru for cutting through the cap to get the honest story from our fine and honorable (and sooo hard-working) Texas legislators!

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
