Vetoes Are Best Done After the Newspapers Deadlines Are Passed

Thanks to a commenter on ITPT, we see this link to a 'whole bunch of shit' the Governor vetoed this late afternoon. Somebody figure out if any of these bills were noteworthy.

Just started going through the bills...

SB 1195 was a bill supported by both the NRA and the ACLU...which of course means we should veto it. It prevented cops from stopping people for speeding/looking suspicious and illegally searchimg their vehicle.

Still looking at 'em...

i love the interim cuz kronberg has nothing to write about except the random whisperings in the halls of the capitol & shit everyone else knows about. anyways, perry is a damn good politician, just a shittty gov. he blocked a sizeable amount of his naysayers accomplishments tonight & he stole carole's limelight. right now Perry's opponents - 0 Perry's Politicos - 18...also Yay Phil!

HB 2193 was a major overhaul of the probation system, giving much more discretion to judges over punishing technical violations. Important bill, vetoed.

SB 1195 was a great bill. Imagine: The Texas Legislature passing a bill to strengthen civil rights! Then along came Goodhair . . .

Good policy has no place in his administration.

Ummmmm... I posted the vetoed bills just as soon as I got home from the Juneteenth Battle of the Bands. Sorry I did post more or earlier. Geez.
