So, it was all true. Rep. Pena's son was attacked outside a polling place by a supporter of mayoral candidate, Richard Cortez. Rep. Pena has a very thoughtful and level-headed post on his blog.

It reminded me of another one of my father's infamous sayings, "There are two things you don't fuck with, my money or my kids."

But this is why people always say such good things about thoughtful and level-headed people. You know, 'Thank God, cooler heads prevailed.' We're more of a reactionary and were more inclined to respond with, "Do we need to haul our country ass up to McAllen?"
