The Dems school finance proposal was defeated by a vote of 75-74 today. As usual, it was Tom Craddick's vote that broke a tie on the measure. Twelve Republicans voted for the Dems plan, showing maybe a sign that there is some 'let's work together' sentiment going on up there during the Special.
Now, we are on to HB 2. It's 6:30 and wouldn't you know it? As soon as we turn on the live feed it's Martha friggin' Wong at the mic.
We are not going to liveblog the HB2 debate because we've got shit to do, but...Rep. Carter Casteel is at the mic. Could someone get her her very own show?
8:30 PM - Rep. Al Edwards spotted picking his
nose in the middle of the House floor!
Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
Could someone explain to the whining Linda Harper Brown that when you are at the back mic you ask a QUESTION! She is horrible and her district DPI moved up several points from 02. Could someone please run against her and take her out of our misery!
