Governor Rick Perry is attending a signing ceremony of the Texas
Parental Consent Plan in Fort Worth at the Cavalry Cathedral Academy off of I-35N & Yucca Ave Sunday, June 5th @ 5PM. Texas already has a parental notification law, which was approved in 1999. The governor will also be highlighting the Texas Anti-Marriage amendment to be voted on soon by the citizens of this state. Texas already has the Defense of Marriage Act signed by the governor in 2003.
These are the â??accomplishmentsâ?? of the 79th State Legislature in 2005. Are Texas schools funded as promised and demanded by the Texas Supreme Court? NO! Do these â??accomplishmentsâ?? represent the priorities of Texans? NO!
The Message:
Governor Perry has chosen divisive politics and wedge issues over Texas children. As Tarrant County Republican Chairwoman Pat Carlson said, â??school finance wasn't necessarily a priority of the conservative movement." Well Governor and Chairwoman Carlson: IT IS THE PRIORITY OF ALL TEXANS!
