Sine Die! OR Die, Please...just die already

We come to a close. The day we've counted down together since our first post on January 31. Well 488 posts later, over 1200 comments later, and 226,995 visitors--we've pissed you off, hopefully made you laugh, and on the rare occassion motivated you to learn more about what goes on in the pink dome.

Most frequently asked question? Who am I? Hands down. View image I'm still accepting invitations for me and Bluebonnet to the Sine Die parties and we'll be stopping in on a few of them.

If you're a nerd and want to see some other fun statistics about PinkDome we've put some in after the jump. We'll be around after the Session continuing to follow Texas politics so keep coming back. xo, PD and Bluebonnet and a special shout out to our guest, PDBlogger.

How people got to PinkDome: 73% came here directly, the remaining came from over 1,400 referring sites.

Search Terms You Used To Find Us
: There are over 1,700 different terms people typed into a search engine to get here. Amazingly, they are mostly related to Texas politics. A few of our favorite bizarre ones are: "horny bitches," "horny cheerleaders," "shrunken testicles," and "2005 texas cps outsourcing bill effects" but the list is long and sometimes hilarious.

Who You Are: By looking at the domains registered in our stats program we know that 441 different University domains visited the site, everyone from the University of Texas to Harvard to St. Cloud University, whatever that is.

Sixty-two different state government domains visited the site. One that made us most nervous? usdoj.gov Uhm, hi Dept. of Justice...we are so patriotic and shit we can't stand it. There are also over 160 different .us domains, mainly state governmental agencies.

Of the 12 .mil (military) domains, pentagon.mil also gave us quite the fright.

There were over 1,400 different .com domain names, some of them very recognizable corporations. If you are reading this now, please ask for my resume.

Seventy-Seven different nations visited the site. Why anyone from Kuwait found PinkDome interesting we'll never know.

We're also proud that 25% of our visitors use our favorite browser, Mozilla Firefox. (If you haven't downloaded it for free, do it now and get rid of Internet Explorer for good)

So there, in a nutshell is the history of PinkDome so far.

We'll see you tomorrow. I'll be the one in the navy suit and bow tie...not kissing ass.

Will someone please explain to me how to make the "Red and Blue Makes Purple" party any lamer last night?

Oh yeah, I know of a way, lets turn away Senate staff ( more importantly...LADIES) on the sole fact that they are "Senate messengers".

I am sorry, doesn't the name of the party, " Red & Blue Makes Purple", suggest unity? Hell, it's only the last fuckin' day of session! RELAX a little.

Another thing, wasn't this suare the party of progressives? (predominantly Democrats) Who are currently the minority nationwide, also almost extinct here in Texas.

It's already hard enough to get people to vote Democratic here in Texas to begin with. Especially come next election when yall need all the folks you can find to vote Democrat. With all of the RIGHT WING wackos coming out en masse to vote against the gays next election you would think one would use their logic before turning away people who are of LEGAL DRINKING AGE.

Besides, god forbid something were to happen to someone who had been drinking at the party and were to be underage, it isn't like yall can't find a lawyer to represent since the location of the party was at the GOD DAMN Trial Lawyers Association Building.

Happy FUCKIN SINE DIE!

We'll still be around. Probably not posting 10x a day, but we'll be keeping up. There's still tons of politics to write about. Keep coming back. We appreciate all the tips, funny emails and even the hate comments. We'll miss the excitement but we'll try to make you laugh every once in a while in the future.

At least you don't have half your traffic coming from people doing Google searches for "dog orgy." That's really disconcerting.

And you get to go to all the cool parties. I'm stuck at work. Damn you Pink Dome! :-)
