Perry Starts to Whine....Senate Passes Budget

As HB2 and HB 3 have been languishing, Governor Perry finally has something to say:

"I would like to be able to finish this session with some substantial success, not just go home and say we passed a budget," Perry said. "The school issue is not addressed, the property tax issue's not addressed. The revenue cap's not addressed. I mean, there's a lot of good legislation that's sitting in the Senate at the moment and we just need some answers."

We're not exactly sure what Perry means by 'good' legislation. But it gave us a laugh anyway. I especially love the 'we just need some answers' line. Uhm, here's a clue GOVERNOR...you could probably get somebody on the phone to answer those questions if you weren't such a moron instead of running to the press to pout and let it be known that you've skinned your knee and nobody cares. Poor baby.

Translation of Perry's statement:

It appears I won't deliver the tax break that I'd promised my super-wealthy owners. That'll make it harder for me to beat Kay Bailey or Carole. Oh well, I'll just use HJR6 to drive to the polls all you moderate-income social conservatives whom I've cornholed at every opportunity by turning over your hard-earned money to my owners & turning over control of your culture to my owners at Time-Warner/Disney/GE/Fox who will force-feed you and your children content at least as vile as anything you'd see in a porn store. God bless Texas. Hyuk hyuk hyuk.
