Tomorrow, Thursday at 5 p.m. for the Senate Affairs Committee Hearing on HJR 6. Ellis was successful in his delay of the hearing until tomorrow night. The LGRL lobby asks that you show up to testify against HJR 6, if you cannot testify you can always sign a witness affirmation form. Find out more at the LGRL Action Alert.
Also, look for me to liveblog a little of the fracas. See you there.
Yes, Paul, it will be. Regardless of your position on HJR 6, you have to admire the courage and passion that we'll surely see in the testimony tomorrow. I remember some very eloquent and moving testimony in the House. At the very least, it can be educational and at best, it can be re-affirming. If you know a gay person go listen to some of the public testimony and for a minute remove your political idealogy and listen with the heart.
Remember I think HJR 6 is a stupid, waste of time. I'm not some cog of the Republican Party....I do have the ability to be objective.
I think it's a stupid waste of time, as well. Cog or no cog...it's probably going to one of the best shows this session. Sure as hell beats the debate on school finance as far as generating conversation goes.
I'm sorry that I'm going to miss it since I'm back home now. But I'll be there shaking my fist in spirit.
A shameless plug -- and just in case y'all want an argument that's rarely used...
Tomorrow will be an intresting day for sure...I bet they'll have 2 overflow rooms.
