At least that's what the school voucher proponents and opponents seem to be up to.

"Every figure they cite is false," the Irving Republican [Rep. Linda Harper-Brown] said. "It is extremely difficult to have a meaningful discussion about school choice when there are organizations that have no qualms about deliberately distorting the facts."
"These three voucher bills are a mean assault on our urban school districts," said Carolyn Boyle, a spokeswoman for the Coalition for Public Schools. She predicted that a pilot program in large urban districts â?? which one of the bills would create â?? would drain $645 million from Dallas public schools in two years, more than any other district except for Houston.
