Zaffirini's office would like us to clarify our post on what happened to the funding for HIV meds in the Senate Finance Committee meeting and reassure y'all that it ain't dead yet.

I am writing to clarify a posting on your blog about the Senate Finance Committee's decisions regarding maintaining service levels in the HIV Medication Program that may have left a misconception about Senator Zaffirini's support of the program.

Please know that Senator Zaffirini, the chair of the Article II work
group, is a supporter of the program and has tried on three different
occasions to fully fund it. Senator Zaffirini intends to once again
bring up the issue during tomorrow's (Tuesday) Senate Finance Committee hearing as they continue to discuss SB 1.
