Catty. Chatty. And Occasionally Trashy.

Feb 25
Friday editorial...with absolutely no links (yeah, right)

Earlier this week, we surpassed the 10,000 unique visitors mark. Not bad for a brand new 'online publication' (that's what we call ourselves) to achieve in 25 days since launch.

We'd like to buy you all a drink to celebrate. But, we're poor and what we really mean is that we'd like to get the ones of you that are cute a little drunk and feel you up...but that's something else altogether.

We wanted to mention the latest attack on the mainstream media with the loss of CNN's Eason Jordan
. Arguably, you could say the blogs brought him down as did they play a role in Dan Rather's humiliation. You can't argue that about Jeff Gannon *careful, not exactly safe for capitol viewing...there's just a little box over his hoo-ha in the photo(gay hooker/journalist), and now Talon News. (Keep Reading...there's a point in here, we promise)

At PinkDome, our goal and mission is not to 'bring anybody down' or replace mainstream media. We're an editorial based site. We believe in having a voice, and remarking on what we read in the news, what we see in person and what the gay hooker/journalist says in his sleep after we wear him out. That's really where we get the best news sources from anyway.

We believe online publications provide instant information, instant response, and better--they encourage our readers to think about the news they've just read in some other source.

If we skewer something or someone, we hope our readers ask "Why'd they do that?" and then read our source and agree or disagree.

If you disagree, send us an angry letter. Tell us why. We have never said we're smarter than everybody else (well, maybe the people actually elected to office but that's like saying you're smarter than a pig that can find the mud).

So, thank you again for your support. Thank you again for the emails and the tips. And thank you for the comments. We LOVE them.

Look for more "Caption This Picture" in upcoming PinkDome posts and we're planning a new special feature designed to waste HOURS of your time up there in the capitol building. (Oh and thanks to our capitol readers, which are among our top three domains visiting the site.)

xo, and grab grab,
PinkDome

Congratulations on you site views, you've by far surpassed me and I've been at this over a year. But I'm not bitter... not bitter at all.

Really though, good job.
