Dallas County Democratic Party...Listen to Us.

The DMN is reporting on this story about the Dallas County Democratic Party:

Dallas County Democrats will meet tonight and possibly consider a resolution that would strip Democratic Chairwoman Susan Hays of her power.

This 'vote of no confidence' is being stirred up by some Dems with too much time on their hands, after all...This action "comes nearly four months after the Democrats' strong performance in November, when they won several judicial races and Lupe Valdez was elected county sheriff."

Dallas county ought to get out tonight and support their Chairperson instead of fighting over yard signs. We reported earlier on the bitchiness in the Bexar County Party and now Dallas. I think we've said it before, quit fighting each other and fight the Republicans if you want to win elections.

We keep forgetting some of these Dems haven't won anything in so long their only past-time is fighting each other.

Susan Hays, we offer our full support behind you. If you are a precinct chair in Dallas, please attend this meeting and demand that the Chair of the party that brought successful election results in November continue and those that are calling for diminishing her power be removed so less stupid and bitter precinct chairs may take their place.

I love it when people make rash decisions without listening to both sides. Yes, I agree, it's more than yardsigns, it's more than letters on party letterhead supporting Republicans, it's more than opening Young Democrats mail and taking checks out; It's more that not having one Exec Committee Mtg between May and November 2004 to support all of our candidates and help Pct Chairs get out the vote. Its more than not having one precinct chair training session since Sept 2003. Yes, it's more than statements like "Martin Frost had nothing to do with victories in 2004"; Yes, it's more than not starting a Precinct Chair recruitment program until after the election; Yes, it's more than not having a True Coordinated Campaign with Pct Chairs, Clubs, Candidates and Labor all involved since 2000. Yes, it's more than torpedoing one of the party's more sucessful fundraiser by sending out invitations two days before the event; Yes it is more about moving Polling Locations during the primaries and not appointing Pct Chairs to run their own primaries.

I am glad that you support our Party Chair who at the last minute claimed a state law that denied 60 pending precinct chairs from being elected.

And it's more than just one of her chief supporters claiming that it's just Michael Moon and the Stonewall Democrats trying to take over the Party.

Thank you for your belief in being fair to all sides.

First, you are welcome. Thanks for the support!!

But as to being fair, we don't have to be fair. That's why we like politics because it never is.

"don't have to be fair"? I can live with that.

At least you printed both sides, so you readers can ask questions and judge for themselves.
