The clothes make the man
I’m not a fan of GQ, but I do think they are right on when they called out Austin as one of the worst dressed city in America.
I am the first to admit that in the summer, it is hard to be motivated to wear any clothes because of the heat. However, I think the people here that go to Whole Foods in a sports bra and workout shorts are losers. I judge them. I would never hire them.
Not every one has to be a fashion plate, but respect yourself enough to not go in public wearing pajamas or wrinkled up dirty shirts and try to pull it off like you are being ironic or just don’t care. All it really says is that you are either poor or have no self worth.
Clothes, do make the man. I don’t care if it’s hippie Austin or not.
