Budget, Schmudget
So we avoided a government shutdown. The Tea Party is very upset. I find it ironic that from what I can tell, the majority of Tea Party members are most likely receiving Social Security checks and Medicare are all about cutting the budget. I don’t understand how they think this won’t affect them…OH IT WON’T! That’s right! Any changes to these programs now won’t affect people already receiving so why the hell should they care?
It’s the people that are still working and paying into the system that will be screwed if these old people that are so radically conservative get their way.
It’s just like how I don’t give a crap about Global Warming anymore. I’m old enough now that even if the world comes to a burning end in 40 years I won’t care. I’ll be old enough to die and have lived a great life. Screw all of y’all with kids and you young people. So what if you burn up in a million degree summer with smog choked air and knee deep ocean surf here in Austin? Don’t care. I’ll be burning coal and dumping mercury in the rivers this weekend.
