Perry’s Emergencies: Get a new fiddle while Texas burns

January 25, 2011 Uncategorized

Of all the problems facing the state today, Voter ID legislation is not an emergency. Even if there were rampant voter fraud in Texas, which there is not, the next election is a bit far off for the legislature to be forced to take up action on the matter before addressing the real emergencies confronting Texas today.

Perry’s continued strategy of governance by pandering is, I guess, why he keeps getting elected. That and that fact that Texas spends less money on education than most everybody else in the world.

Personally, I do not care about this legislation. If you can’t show an ID to vote then maybe they should escort you to an interment camp right then and there. Put you to work in the mine or digging ditches or something until the government either deports you for being illegal, or assigns you a government job in Perry’s office for life.

You have to wonder if the people that work up there in the pinkdome really believe in this tripe they run around working on or are they laughing at how they keep everyone distracted from the failing schools, uninsured citizens, crumbling infrastructure and overburdened justice system?  Either they are all idiots or heartless and corrupt. I honestly couldn’t tell you which I’d prefer.
