A study just released finds that the more a person attends worship services, the more likely they are to support torture. Really? White evangelical Protestants were the religious group most likely to say torture is often or sometimes justified — more than 6 in 10 supported it.

So, if this is your version of Christianity you can have it. My God, you know…the Methodist one, does not condone torture. He was all about that love and grace and turning the other cheek.

No wonder no one wants to go to church on Sunday. Blech. This disgusts me. It disgusts me because although a small sample size, this study proves every bad thing people say about white evangelicals in this country. It disgusts me because these people do not really know God and are not walking in Faith with Him. They are parroting the religious dogma of Rush Limbaugh…not God Almighty.

Lord, please forgive them for they no not what they do.

Seriously. My God is the Methodist one, too, and I don’t understand how torture can ever be acceptable.

Im not surprised. Organized religion in this worls is evil. They are hatemongers, hyprocits, pedophiles, and the most angered people I have ever seen. I believe in God, and I worship God, In my own home. I would never go to a church in the worlld. Theyare evil people, doing the devils work in my mind. So no, I am not surprised.

I don’t think the two are related. I used to go to church every Sunday, and even I know torture is bad except when administered by Kiefer Sutherland.
