Damn Pirates!

April 9, 2009 Uncategorized

The pirate attacks off the coast of Somalia are pissing me off. They are totally ruining my revised image of pirates as alluring, aloof, charming, funny, drunkards and kind of sexy in that dirty way you don’t admit to liking.pdprte

Now I guess we all have to go back to thinking of pirates as blood-thirsty theives on the high-seas. Thanks a lot, real pirates.

I find it hard to believe that our US Navy cannot protect ships that are in the area. I found it embarrassing that the ships have to try to outrun them or turn fire hoses on the pirates to try and keep them from boarding a ship. What these ships really need are some guns. Clearly, none of the ships attacked were based from Texas ports. Hell, in Texas the UT Rowing Team is packing 9MM when they are out on Lady Bird Lake!

What we really need are some open carry laws on the high seas!

Eyes are on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as she monitors the situation and how she will handle the crisis. If I could speak to the pirates I’d tell them…”Dude. It’s totally not worth it. She will not kill you quickly. It will a project she takes on for years. Just give up.”

    kill them!
blast them out of the water,if there is collateral damage, aka dead hostages,so be it.
while your at it,air strike the pirate village and be done with it!

    Here’s an idea:
Let the pirates take ships they hold hostage back to their ports and wait for ransom. Pay the ransom, and then they’ll let the ships go.

Wait a few days, then blow their ports all to hell with five thousand pound bombs.

    We have satellites, Somali’s don’t.

I’m going to start charging the US Defense Department for my services from now on, since it seems as though I’m the only one offering suggestions for these matters. Clearly the people who get paid to think like this don’t give a crap about this “pirate problem.”

Let’s see if I got this right… The US Navy, the most powerful, most technological superior navy in the world is being kept at bay (no pun intended) by four pirates in a life boat. hummm?
One has to ask themselves… What the F%&# is wrong with us. Now that these so-called pirates know they can get to negotiate with the US when they themselves are obviously not in a very strong position, they will hijack every US Ship that sails by. What is wrong with our government!!!! Is not a day going to go by that I am not embarrassed to be an American!!!
They should have nipped this issue in the bud a long time ago…but then that also applies to the US/Mexican border where by the time we take action we will be fighting drug cartels that will be better armed then our National Guard, if they aren’t already!

This is what I have been saying for a long time. We have long been romanticizing pirates. But there’s nothing GOOD about Pirates. They are thieves and murderers. Movies like “PIrates of the Caribean” do not really help anything.
