First of all let me acknowledge that it takes me about four times as long to recover from a hangover as it used to…eep! Getting older reality check, complete.

So yesterday I was barely keeping up with the whole curriculum debate over evolution. I love that the press calls the people opposed to teaching evolution in our schools “social conservatives.” Is there a rule now that we have to keep calling ignorant, know-nothing backwards ass ill-informed, religious zealot, pandering politicians “social conservatives?”

I thought we were so past all of that. If you oppose science, fact, and the scientific method or theory and you have no scientific credentials whatsoever to base your opposition to all of that, save a Faith in (your) God then you are stupid. You are ignorant and you shouldn’t be holding public office.

I have Faith in God, but I can reconcile the whole world created in seven days BS with scientific fact because of my Faith, not in spite of it.
