KXAN reports that gay and lesbian couples showed up at the Travis County Tax Assesor’s Office to try and get marriage licenses. I don’t know where these people were last year when the entire state voted to discriminate against homosexual couples.
There’s also a planned “Freedom to Marry” march planned for this Saturday at Austin City Hall. In other news, the planned beating of a dead horse is rescheduled for Sunday.

I understand in show of unity that all marchers are going to be wearing their:
“Please give me some attention” Tshirts.

There’s only one n in Glen.
Oh wait, was the the sound of Democrats picking up *how* many seats in districts where Prop 2 actually failed?
    Yeah. I thoughts so.

come on (name removed) you know you miss me long time

Picked up seats where Prop 2 failed? That sounds like a logical extension of people being active would have voted for Democrats anyway. Which says nothing of the fact that many Democrats in the Lege voted for HJR6 anyway. A vote for a democratic candidate is by no means a vote against Prop 2, and it continues to justify my lack of faith in “gay politics” that you’d make the connection.
NoNonSense lost all my respect when they called and asked me to go have a petition signed at Hippie Hollow during Splash. (Excuse me, can I get you to sign this on his back while you’re screwing him in the woods?)
Its the only time they called, and they never called my PR executive friend that volunteered to work with them.
