- Rep. John Davis, an “influential Republican lawmaker”, is working with Dems to get more children enrolled in CHIP and has introduced HB 2049 [News8Austin].
- Yes, it’s wonderful that TXU might not build all the proposed 11 coal plants because of their planned buyout. However, two of the three plants that will still be [...]

And by Prick We Mean You

Capitol Letters tells us that this year’s blue book has a typo. Rep. Richard J. “Rick” Noriega, D-Houston must have been somewhat suprised to see him listed at Rep. Richard J. “Prick” Noriega. It’s an unusual nickname for a state legislator. We’d have gone for the more obvious “Douchebag” but that’s just us…we’re not so [...]

Massachusetts Governor Follows Texas

The governor of Massachusetts (My GOD that is hard to spell) has put the HPV vaccine in his budget. Even the governor of the ‘most liberal state in the union’ wasn’t foolish enough to make it mandatory and bypass the legislature with the idea. Perry is taking the heat and every day the story gets [...]

TXU Going Green?

Turns out Governor Perry pissed off a lot of Texans for nothing. His efforts to fast track 11 coal plants for TXU is moot with the impending buyout by people that aren’t morons. We’d like to think the deal came about just to make Rick look like an asshole, but that’s stretching it a bit.
It’s [...]
