It sounds so dirty!
State officials altered records, pressured witnesses and delayed an investigation into whether the state health department improperly used lobbyists to push legislation in 2005, according to a state investigative report.
The governor postponed an investigation to give them a chance to do a proper cover up, but apparently they lack the skills of say a Tom Craddick. [AAS]
During the audit and investigation the Mental Health Association created their new mission statement:
“It’s not about consumers; it’s not about quality services,” Halligan said. “It’s about keeping the money. And they will step on me and you and anyone else to keep it.”
