Beware the Browns

Not only are the Messicans taking over our country by filling our schools, giving birth in our hospitals, and seducing our women with their delicious fajitas and invitations to Margaritaville, but a new brown threat is looming over the horizon.
I’ll let Virginia’s Rep. Virgil Goode explain in a letter he sent out to some supporters, all of whom, I’m guessing, would be willing to hang out with George Allen:
Thank you for your recent communication. When I raise my hand to take the oath on Swearing In Day, I will have the Bible in my other hand. I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way. The Muslim Representative from Minnesota was elected by the voters of that district and if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran. We need to stop illegal immigration totally and reduce legal immigration and end the diversity visas policy pushed hard by President Clinton and allowing many persons from the Middle East to come to this country. I fear that in the next century we will have many more Muslims in the United States if we do not adopt the strict immigration policies that I believe are necessary to preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America and to prevent our resources from being swamped.
The Ten Commandments and “In God We Trust” are on the wall in my office. A Muslim student came by the office and asked why I did not have anything on my wall about the Koran. My response was clear, “As long as I have the honor of representing the citizens of the 5th District of Virginia in the United States House of Representatives, The Koran is not going to be on the wall of my office.” Thank you again for your email and thoughts.

While his tactics are distasteful, the Congressman brings up a serious point about Muslim immigration and, more importantly, integration. America is a success story for Muslim integration, something the Islamists never talk about. But that could easily turn into failure and there is a living example of this - look at Europe. Too often, people with genuine concerns, such in Europe, get labeled as racist by the PC multicultural crowd. Well multiculturalism has hurt European societies and that cannot be denied, I hope that mentality doesn’t gain ground here. This Congressman did no one any favors with his thoughtless comments, but I guarantee that this issue will keep coming up again in our lifetime. America must strive to successfully assimilate our immigrants, not be assimilated by our immigrants, like what is happening in Europe.
Does that mean we’re all going to have to eat bland, tasteless food?!
I for one will fight the Borg and avoid assimulation (and meanwhile go have some tasty picadillo tacos and hummus).
Correct me if I am wrong - but unless you are a full-blooded American Indian, isn’t everyone in America of immigrant descent? Oh how we have suffered for SO LONG!!!
I personally prefer meskin (notice the small m) to Messicans. But you might want to vist my pal over at the unapologeticmexican.com to get his view on the matter. He writes a nice article about those smelly rascals. He don’t seem to be counted among the Borg either.
Maybe these dumbasses should realize that Ellison and his religious beliefs don’t really go back to “immigration”.
He converted to Islam while in college. And he picked it up from our friends whose ancestors were shackled and forced to move to America — they didnt immigrate.
I guess when Rep. Goode places his hand on the Bible and swears an oath to uphold the Constitution, he will have his fingers crossed. Can’t be having too much freedom of religion.
