Rick Perry: A Retrospective

October 26, 2006 Uncategorized

This collection of campaign commercials through the many years of Perry campaigns was like a long look back at the broken promises of Perry Past. It makes us wonder what the Perry future will be. Our guess? More of the same. Good luck with all that, Texans.

BB adds: I do love the young Perry cowboy look though.

    That stupid head-turn, cocky-nod, “I’m proud of Texas …” - cocky nod - “… how ’bout you?”
    That kills me, every time.

As someone who lives in Dallas… love the smog free open country shots… to bad he doesn’t care if Dallas can breathe…

I wonder why TXU doesn’t include the orange haze that envelopes Dallas during the summer in their commercials? Maybe the reason TXU is using kids to describe their coal burning plants is they also want to role back time and eliminate child labor laws to go along with their belching smoke stacks.

Perry is unethical. Consider the following.
During the 1995 legislative session, Dan Shelley, who was working for Gov. George W. Bush, pushed a bill that created strong incentives for the state to contract out welfare programs to private firms. Shortly after the bill passed, Shelley quit Bush’s office and began lobbying for Lockheed-Martin-IMS, one of several companies that were vying for the welfare contract. The contract was worth approximately $2 billion.
Then, during Perry’s administration, Dan Shelley, who was working as an independent “consultant” lobbying for Cintra, was hired as an aide to Gov. Perry. Next, Cintra was awarded the exclusive development rights for the corridor. Then, Shelley returned to being a lobbyist for Cintra. Story here.

Cintra was a public bid process where three firms bid the best bid won the other two firms woudl hahve sued were that not the case the pulci toll road freaks would have screemed bloody murder had there been any issues in the contracts that were relaese at teh complation of the process. mark your misisng happy hour.
