It’s an Ambush!

Tennessee Democratic candidate Harold Ford, Jr. drove his bus right up to an event for his Republican opponent Bob Corker. He jumped out walked right up and said, “Let’s debate.” Hilarity ensued. Corker was pissed! How dare some upstart negro have the nerve to ambush him and ask him questions about the issues on live TV!?
Recent polls show Ford and Corker (sounds like a food show, doesn’t it?) in a race that’s too close to call. Dems are eagerly watching this race in the Republican-held territory. There’s a video at the link that will make you squirm with its uncomfortable-ness.
BB adds: A recent RNC anti-Ford ad has come under fire for being racist. The RNC using racist tactics? Who’da thunk it?

I like Ford, but this seems like a bad move
The Republicans must be pretty desperate to create an ad too suggest that people shouldn’t vote for Ford because he might go after w hite women. Some of the big name Negro conservaties — Clarence Thomas, JC Watt to name just two — have white women. It didn’t stop Republicans from supporting them. So what’s the deal?
Ford is going to lose because of assinine moves like mentioned above, but mostly because Tennessee is Tennessee and he’s black. I find it pretty pathetic that the NAACP is crying foul about that ad being racist after they tried to hang that Jasper dragging around the neck of Bush, so to speak.
Was in Tennessee when this happened. The Corker ads running about Ford have a white woman pretending to be a hooker winking at Ford. There is something a little more unsettling when a middle aged white guy commissions a public ad acusing a young African American man with hanging out with a white prostitute. Corker is lucky that Ford didn’t try to take him out back, so to speak.
