Paging Mark Strama

September 21, 2006 Uncategorized

The US House passed a bill to require a photo ID in order to vote. Somehow Mary Denny’s brilliant idea passed congressional muster. The Senate also began considering The Great Wall of China America to keep the Mongolians Mexicans out.
Bah, stupid election year discriminatory issues. Someone bring in Mark Strama to slap that ID bill back to that special place where bad bills go to die.

    Who’s Mark Strama?

  2. plain-spoken says:

Strama is a nice guy but has no juice

  3. Anonymous says:

Jim Crow is alive and well in America!

  4. Keep Austin says:

The wall idea is ridiculous but anything that will help reduce voter fraud has just got to piss of Democrats

  5. texyak says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t forcing people to pay for voter ID cards constitute a poll tax?

  6. incognito in austin says:

Strama will have juice - once the Dems are in the majority.

  7. Keep Austin says:

    Texyak,
    Okay, you’re wrong.

  8. Xerixe says:

    Keep Austin,
Can you show us the massive examples of voter fraud that this is supposed to stop? Just couldnt seem to find any, myself. And I am not talking about the 13 “voter fraud” cases that AG Abbott seems to be on a crusade about…

    Keep Austin is a troll.

  10. texyak says:

    Keep Austin…
Exactly how am I wrong? Having to pay to vote is the same as a poll tax.

  11. Keep Austin says:

    Xerixe,
You are completely right, voter fraud does not exist in any form or fashion, are you happy now? Idiot.
I bet you’re one of those people that loves to bitch about the new paperless voting machines as well.
Anon, Please don’t call me a troll, that really hurts.

  12. BarbaraD says:

    Keep Austin,
Learn the difference between “voter fraud” and “election fraud”. There is little or no real evidence of fraud by individual voters. That is not the problem in our elections. But nice attempt to muddy the waters by conflating the two issues. *rolls eyes*

  13. Anonymous says:

    Like I said. Troll.

  14. Keep Austin says:

    Barbara,
I think when you enter a discussion it would be a good idea to know what you’re talking about. Please take the time to go back to the top and re-read all the postings, that way you won’t look like an ass when you butt in with your opinion. Also, I wasn’t conflating the two issues so fuck you, ugly.
    The Troll

  15. BarbaraD says:

    Gee Keep Austin,
Did I hit a raw nerve or something?
You were the one who tried to bring the issue of electronic voting machines into a debate on individual voter fraud. You were also the one who apparently lacks reading comprehension skills (or you are intentionally obtuse on this issue…take your pick).
BTW, I wouldn’t fuck you with somebody else’s genitalia…and with your fucking attitude I doubt I’m the only one who feels that way.

  16. Keep Austin says:

    Babs,
Alas I am weary of you, shouldn’t you be studying instead of tying up your parent’s computer?
Go out to MySpace.com where using words like obtuse will really impress the other kids.
    Beat it.

  17. BarbaraD says:

    Keep Austin,
You certainly seem to know a lot about MySpace.com. Hmmmmmm.
Since you didn’t like obtuse how about this…you are a sanctimonious prat.
And by the way…it’s parents’…then again I suppose you would know all about living in your parents’ basement and posting in your underwear while the rest of us adults are out working real jobs.
See…the rest of us can make unfounded assumptions about you too.
