The Federal Courts will hear the DeLay case today in New Orleans. The whole question is whether or not that sneaky bitch Tina Benkiser can declare Tom DeLay ineligible and replace him at her will on the ballot because he moved…well, said he moved but never really did. This case is interesting not becase of Tom DeLay (I’m so over him) but the bigger picture of manipulating the primary and then general election.
If a candidate can win a primary and the party thinks he’s not a strong enough candidate to win the general, can the party then ride him out of town on a rail and replace him for the general without some sort of election process? If so, why don’t we get all the losers that won a primary off the ballot then? I’m totally making my list of primary winners I’m about to give the boot!
I think DeLay will win this round.
Dibs on kicking Nathan Macias off the ballot.
