One Nation, Paying God

OK. I go to church, I have no problem with churches. I do have a problem with churches being given money by the government to help spread their message. Seriously, government subsidized religion runs contrary to the basic foundation of our country. If churches really want more money then they need to take a cue from the Scientologists. Recruit a few wackos with a big ass bank account and lavish them with praise. Worked with that Catholic spin-off group and Mel Gibson. Just sayin’ is all.

It’s important to help the less fortunate i society, and it is impossible for our inefficient and bureaucratic government to do this well; thus, the problem remains. Wouldn’t it be great if the government could share the vast resources of the people to acheive this goal? I know. The govenemnt could send money to organizations that are already set up to feed the homeless and provide counseling and services to the poor. Maybe, just maybe, these organizations could include churches and other faith-based groups.
