Polls do suck, unless they reinforce my beliefs

October 25, 2005 Uncategorized

For the first time a poll says that over 50% of Americans now believe the war in Iraq is wrong and 66% say the President is doing a poor job. As the administration is in a tailspin over everything from eroding support to the budget crisis to the Harriet Miers nomination, conservatives are pulling every last ditch effort out of the woodwork to call the Dems a party without an agenda or with no plan.
Ask me, I’ve got a plan. The wheels are falling off, folks.

Plan, plan, my Country for a plan. I really just wanted to post something before I had to read another comment from Mr. Motley.

The D’s are a party without an agenda or a plan. Their platform is simply that they are not Republicans. The Democratic party is a joke and PD knows it.

  5. PinkDome says:

The wheels are falling off the Republican Party nationally, Wonk and even you have to admit that. Jokes makes us laugh, crimes against the country make us sad.
Either way, PD gets some funny shit to write about.
Elect me, because I’ll just get drunk and tell you what I really think. :)

Okay, PD, so let’s accept–for the sake of argument–that the wheels are actually “falling off,” as you so precisely put it. No really, what is the D plan? Because last time the Ds had a candidate, he proposed more of the same in Iraq/Afghanistan, doing nothing about Social Security/Medicare/health care, and embracing conservation as a means to deal with energy prices. So, exactly, what would be different? A D president would drink? I might be able to get along better with the guy, but somehow I don’t think this is a policy improvement.
