Carole Keeton Strayhorn is still yelling about the $1.2 billion dollars she has lying around in her office. She tried calling for a special to give it to Katrina victims, she tried calling for a special to give it to Rita victims, she’s now trying to chop it up and use it for property tax relief. Perry’s response? Eh. Seriously, this lady can’t even give money away and can barely grab a headline. Does anyone even still remember that there’s a Republican primary coming up? The only headlines of hers that I’ve seen recently are how her campaign manager is doing campaign work from his state office. Great press lady, even if it is all ok, there’s still the appearance of impropriety.

NOTE to CKRS: You’re supposed to be running for Governor, not standing for reelection as Comptroller. Enough already. Looks like it’s going to be 4 more years of the Goobernator.
$300 bucks for my vote? Is that the best our chunky comptroller can come up with? At least Bell has an ethics reform plan to hang his hat on. CKRS really needs to get her crap together or stop wasting all that money that could be spent helping real democrats!
