Alabama’s latest nutball political candidate is Tim James. Tim (truly the name of simpletons everywhere) made an ad where he declared a future end to giving the driver’s license test in any language but English. “We speak English here,” he said. In Alabama, that’s debatable.

I love Alabama. It is a state rich with history and natural beauty.  A lot like Texas in that way, but like Texas, it is also filled with rampant ignorance and abject poverty.

Alabama’s white population hovers around 68%, a majority that is fading fast. So the political strategy of immediately alienating 32% of the electorate is further evidence of stupidity.

Tim James, you are no George Wallace. But, at least you’re trying!

Look, I know people are out of work. I know people are scraping by on unemployment. I also do not believe that unemployment checks are an incentive for people to NOT go find work.

All that being said, we have to find a stopping point of extending these benefits. Jesus, if we are going to keep doing this we ought to start putting unemployed people to work building roads and bridges and dams and schools…oh wait…didn’t someone come up with that idea before?

The continued outpouring of government handouts is really getting on my nerves because those of us that ARE working are the ones that are going to have to pay for it all.

They should assign some unemployed people to everyone that is employed. I’ve got some work I need done around the house, these bills need to be sorted, I have some landscaping work that needs to be done and if someone is qualified, I really hate driving myself.
